Going Green with Conscious Consumption

What can we as homeowners do to take an active role in improving our environment by de-cluttering and eliminating items we do not require or need?

Reduce, Re-purpose, Recycle

Is your “stuff” affecting your quality of life?

It is estimated that:

  • We only use 20% of the “stuff” in our homes.
  • We wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time.
  • De-cluttering eliminates 40% of the work needed to clean the average home.

We live in a consumer-driven society and most of us are affected to varying degrees. We are encouraged to want more, and to buy newer, and better. We purchase “stuff” then we have to find a place for it. Perhaps the new item stands out among older belongings, prompting the purchase of more goodies to achieve the right look, etc.

This is where the de-cluttering process improves our quality of life and eliminates excesses we do not require.

Why not rid our closets of clothes we haven’t worn in a year and items we haven’t used in 6 months. Donate them to charities or other organizations who really need them. In doing this, we at the same time are reducing, re-purposing and recycling to better our environment.

If you don’t know where to begin, call StyleCo today. We can help with our full service de-cluttering and elimination services
